We kicked off competitive and non-competitive football for our schoolboy and schoolgirl teams last weekend, October 3rd and 4th.

Our U13 and U9 boys were in action, as were the girls, at U8 and U12 level. Well done to all involved, after dedication to training in recent months, they finally got to wear the Breska colours in a match.

U12 Girls:
Ballingarry B 0-1 Breska Rovers
Ava Byrnes got the only goal of the game for Breska in a tightly contested game in The Paddocks. Defences were on top at both ends but Ava’s goal sent our girls home happy with a win. Well done to all involved.

U8 Girls:
Our U8 girls travelled to Broadford and despite the wintery conditions, they enjoyed a great game and narrowly outscored their opponents. We travelled in great numbers, as you can see from the below photo.

U13 Boys:
Breska Rovers defeated Ferry Rangers.
The Tarbert club visited Clarina on Saturday and on this occasion Breska proved too strong. Timmy McCormack scored five, Max White got four while Darragh Taylor also found the net. Our defence were on top for long periods, while the midfielders linked up well with the attack to create plenty of chances. Mark Sheehan was one midfielder in great form.

U9 Boys
On Sunday morning the Breska Rovers U9 Boys team played out a very entertaining match with Broadford AFC in Breska. This being the first match of the new season the team can take credit for producing such a fine performance against a strong opponent.

For now, the suspension of all matches is in effect. We hope to be back on the field of play in the near future, thankfully training can continue.

Reminder to all managers to send team photos, and details to Club P.R.O. ASAP after the teams games.
