Shountrade 4-1 Breska Rovers A
Football can be funny sometimes eh? You put in a lot of effort at training, at home, at school and at matches but results never go your way. We lost 4-1 tonight (thanks to the mighty hill in Shountrade), 4-0 down at half time, but what I saw in the lads was grit, passion and determination to right a wrong score line. We battled exceptionally hard, we fought til the very last second and ended up scoring a goal through Gerry Moroney. (A cracker indeed of a tap in). Were the lads upset coming off? NO, were they annoyed? Maybe, but did they enjoy themselves play good football and come off smiling they scored and gave there all? Yes. Even though we can’t seem to get the right results, we will keep battling and trying hard to get something we deserve. Onwards and upwards I say.
Motm – Jake Grace: some great saves from Jake kept this score line very respectable and we appreciate him coming up to stand in for our team when our usual keeper was missing!
