Fixtures – Sunday
Ladies Cup semi-final
Breska Rovers v Ballingarry, 11.30.
Our Ladies face into the biggest game of their season, as they face Ballingarry in the Cup semi-final. Games between the sides have been tight this season. Breska did with 1-0 away last week but will know that a performance until the final whistle will be needed to book a place in the cup final. The goal was scored by Norma O’Sullivan who finished off a wonderful Niamh O’Byrne corner.
Results have been mixed for our squad but thankfully Declan Normoyle has given every player a chance, meaning that he will have some selection headaches against familiar foes Ballingarry.
Division One
Knockaderry v Breska Rovers A, 11.30, S. Hartnett
Our A team enter the second half of the season unbeaten in the league. St. Itas are keeping up the pressure in second place, but things are in our own hands after nine wins and one draw. A 3-2 victory away to Rathkeale B a fortnight ago sets us up for a push at the final part of the season.
Division Two
Breska Rovers B v Mountcollins, 2.30pm, Pat O’Connor
Our B team return to home action again this weekend, after a frustrating 2-2 draw with Carrig Celtic B last time out. Mountcollins pushed us all the way earlier in the season. Having led 3-0 early on, we eventually held on for a 4-3 victory. This was one of just two victories all season and we will be hoping for a first home win, having secured a first home point two weeks ago.
Please support our teams, especially our ladies who look to make a cup final.
