Goals: Ross Kenny, Barry O’Connor, Dylan Kelly

A quick-long throw from Ethan Keyes opened up a stubborn Ferry Rangers. Keyes found Barry O’Connor who centred for Ross Kenny who doubled his tally for the season. O’Connor slotted a calm penalty to the net early in the second half before Dylan Kelly finished well in the dying embers after a world-class pass from Jack Moroney. Fintan O’Sullivan kept his first clean sheet, with Ben Adams and Conor O’Neill dominant at the heart of the defence.

Granagh United 0-2 BR
Goals: Dylan Kelly (2)

A first start of the season for Cian Griffin, Eoghan Mann and Dylan Kelly. It was Kelly who provided two cool finishes, one in either half, to give Breska the points. Fintan O’Sullivan had kept the game scoreless early on, with a fantastic brace of saves, while he caught countless crosses and corners in the second period.

St Itas 2-2 BR
Goals: Cian Griffin (2)

Cian Griffin opened the scoring in the first minute after a lovely Keith Punch pass. Griffin would double the lead in the second half, but St Ita’s never gave up and scored twice in the final 15 minutes, one from the penalty spot. Ben Adams ably deputised in goal while Sean Coughlan, just 15, made his first appearance at this level. He would start all bar one of the remaining league games. Robbie Gardiner made a first league start having done well against Ballingarry in the Munster Youths Cup.

BR 2-2 Carrig Celtic
Goals: Orin Garvey (2)

Orin Garvey tapped home from inches out before Carrig led 2-1 at the break. This was the first time Breska had trailed all season and it was short lived as Garvey thumped his side level shortly into the second period. An inspired Carrig keeper kept the home side at bay with Dylan Kelly, Garvey and Luke O’Connor all going close late on.

Shannonside 1-6 Breska Rovers
Goals: Jack Moroney (2), Ben Adams, Keith Punch (2), Barry O’Connor

Jack Moroney eventually opened his account for the season with two long range efforts in this tie. The Shannonside keeper was impressive throughout, despite the scoreline, and when Breska eventually found a route to goal, there was plenty to come. Ben Adams slammed home from a corner while Keith Punch, playing up front, added a delightful brace. Barry O’Connor, returning from injury, linked well with his brother Luke and was able to score as a second half sub.

BR 4-1 Mountcollins
Goals: Barry O’Connor (2), Conor O’Neill, Keith Punch

O’Connor quickly returned to the starting line-up and was able to add a brace to his growing tally. An early blitz saw Breska race into a 3-0 lead, with Captain Conor O’Neill notching his first of the season. Keith Punch added to the lead in the second half before Fintan O’Sullivan was unlucky not to save a penalty. Finishing the game with 9 men due to a red card to Ross Kenny and injury to Jack Moroney, the result ensured top spot at Christmas and a commanding position heading down the home stretch.

Ferry Rangers 0-13 BR
Goals: Barry O’Connor (3), Jack Moroney, Josh Moloney (3), Keith Punch, Dylan Kelly (3), Orin Garvey, Ethan Keyes

A dominant display from Breska who shrugged off any Christmas rust with probably the clubs biggest ever victory. Josh Moloney eventually got his first goals of the season, with a hattrick. Barry O’Connor and Dylan Kelly notched three apiece while Jack Moroney, Orin Garvey and Keith Punch also scored. Ethan Keyes also goal of the season for the U18 team while Shane Hannon made his club debut from the bench early in the game.

BR 5-3 Granagh United
Goals: Josh Moloney, Barry O’Connor (2), Ross Kenny, Keith Punch

A dominant hour ultimately lead to a 5-3 victory over second placed Granagh United. Josh Moloney fired Breska ahead before a penalty levelled matters for United. Moloney won a penalty which Barry O’Connor passed to the net. Ross Kenny added another in the second half with O’Connor and the consistent Keith Punch making it 5-1. Granagh fought back to 5-3 after Ben Adams was dismissed.

BR 1-2 St Itas
Goals: Josh Carey

A first defeat of the season came, in Clarina, as St. Ita’s saw off a Breska side short many regulars. Matters weren’t helped when St. Ita’s scored inside 5 minutes with an incredible volley from 20 yards. Debuts for young Darragh O’Sullivan, Ken Ryan and Josh Carey, the latter notched a second half-equaliser. Red cards for Jack Moroney and the injury-hit Dara Punch didn’t help matters. Despite the numerical disadvantage Fintan O’Sullivan almost provided an inch perfect pass to Carey  and Josh Moloney who were inches from grabbing an equaliser.

Carrig Celtic 3-6 BR
Goals: Josh Carey (3), Ross Kenny, Barry O’Connor, Dylan Kelly

Falling behind to Carrig after just 90 seconds made the task of securing the league title away to Carrig. But a 10 minute period of dominance between 30th and 40th minute saw Breska score four times. Josh Carey, two, Ross Kenny and Barry O’Connor put Breska in firm control. Carrig replied to leave it 2-4 at the change of ends. Carey completed his hattrick from close range early in the second half while Dylan Kelly added to his season tally when introduced from the bench. Carrig had briefly made it 6-3 but ultimately Breska had done enough to secure the Youths Division Two league title.

The final game is against Shannonside, in Clarina, where we encourage our members to join the players when they will be presented with the League trophy.
